Booked the Excelsior

rebooked my flights and wrote off the original booking   - (£11 more to change than for a new booking FFS)

flying from liverpool to Barcelona on 14th January 2011 @ 12.20

flying back on Monday 17th January 2011 @ 12.25

if this coincides with anyone we can sort out limos etc.....

Had a look at lowcostholidays
flying from birmingham at 06.30 to girona on 14th
return at 10.05 am on 17th
double room at Gran casino hotel
shuttle from airport
including baggage charge
(small extra charge if you want for breakfast or more etc )
Total price 204.46 for two
doesnt seem too bad, looked at reviews for hotel ( not to good ) but heh only there for the poker LOL
havent decide yet but we shall see
there are other hotels but this is the cheapest

I"m assuming that the cost you mentioned included airfare..otherwise...WTF?

Pending a deal from the Monterrey, I"ve booked the Excelsior too for a paltry £130 (without brekky).

Twin room so if anyone want"s the other bed, let me know and I"ll add you to the list of potential bedmates...wait, that came out wrong!

Haven"t booked the flight yet but around the same time as Ger looks likely.

It kinda depends on getting to Heathrow (which, frankly, is a pain in the proverbial for the departure time).

Of course, I might splurge on a overnight hotel at the airport the night before...we"ll see.

I"ll see what my options are vis-a-vis other departure airports.

I stayed here for a couple of nights about a year ago, all inclusive for next to nothing, but the downside is that it must be the worst place i"ve ever stayed, think of the worst pub in your area, then double it and then more, the rooms have walls that are so thin its scary. the food is un edible, but its cheap. Good luck if you stay there.

Booked on BA from Heathrow arriving at 12.20 on 14th, returning on 17th at 13.15.

I"ll sort out a shuttle booking once we"re closer to having some ideas of numbers.

has got cars from girona airport for £28.70 for 3 days 14th to 17th,

with ZERO insurance excess  

always a bonus for drivers, chop it 4 ways with fuel for 30km and back should be pretty cheap......

Have you seen the size of the average APATer? I doubt you"d get 4 of them in a "Ka". Now a Mondeo for c.£85 might be OK. There"s even a Ford Fusion for only £40+.

Decent value for those that want to have a little more freedom.
