My guess is the vast majority of us will be splashing back the cervezas in the bar at the Excelsior...it"s where most of us are staying.

There or in the casino.

I will definitely be in the bar and probably a little slurry by then so will get my apologies in ahead as I have a very bad habit of speaking english slighty louder and slower with a daft foreign accent when abroad. Well even worse than my usual accent anyway. Bring it on!

Not being used to democracy (see Chezger) this is foreign territory (sic). However, I propose that we install a tour guide for every overseas jaunt we undertake in the name of APAT. I think we need a strong hand at the tiller to keep the drunken rabble in line.

Therefore hands up for Paulie to be the "Tour Leader" for Lloret de Mar. He is highly qualified.

He knows the travel industry inside out (only one little boat trip hiccup we will overlook)

He drinks like a fish (handy for social planning and extra curriculum activities)

He is fluent in most European Languages (at least knows enough to get by in the more classy establishments)

More importantly he is a great bloke.

Opinions or objections ?

Tour Guide Responsibilities

Conduct "educational" activities for the members.

Escort individuals or groups on pub crawls, Karaoke expeditions and other places of interest.

Describe tour points of interest to group members, and respond to questions.

Monitor visitors" activities in order to ensure compliance with tour regulations and safety practices.

Greet and register forum members  and issue any required identification badges.

Provide directions and other pertinent information to drunken APATers.

Provide for physical safety of groups, performing such activities as providing first aid and directing emergency evacuations.

Research environmental conditions and client's skill and ability levels at poker, in order to plan games that may be appropriate.

Provide information about "wildlife" varieties and habitats, as well as any relevant regulations, such as those pertaining to "hunting" and "fishing".

Collect entrance fees for "shows"  from group members.

Teach skills, such as proper methods for getting up off the floor, getting onto bar stools and demonstrate and advise on the use of equipment.

Select travel routes and sites to be visited based on knowledge of specific areas.

Speak foreign languages in order to communicate with "escorts"

I"m fluent in, English (as she is spoke in the better UK establishments), gibberish, ****** and rubbish. I do know the words for Beer,  Guinness, Whiskey and Water in the major EU languages..is that enough?
