Rich,

unless you are already thinking of going - (I am anyway) these do not really get the juices going because they are only for a seat. If they were for a complete package, ie expenses etc - I think you would get more.

only my view and as I am am going I would love to get in easier but without added value you will not get the fence sitters

however there are double figure confirms and they should be playing.....

I would have definitely played them if some idiot hadn"t organised a blonde league which compels me to play 5 tables at once ;D. Oh and Tigers were playing tonight. Or not as the case may be :(

Complete packages def a plus. Seat + $350 expenses?
Only people who are def going (not many?) will try to sat in otherwise.
E mails to jog peoples memories?
Captain emails us for league games (or I"d miss most!)

why are there 2 holding tanks? If you reg in the main event does it matter whether you enter holding tank 1 or 2? I assume they are both for the main event

I"m confused  ??? ??? ??? ???  And it doesn"t take much, before someone else posts that.

The satellites this week have been for a "package" of $432 (So $120 seat, plus some cash towards expenses).  This is the same as we did for Vienna and Tallinn.

So you could get a package through a $22 freezeout, a $11 rebuy, or a $54 super satellite (Which also had two $8 feeders into it)

We will also run the exact same satellite structure next week as a second chance.

There will be two holding tanks for Spain.  One for satellite ticket holders only ($432) and a direct buyin for a seat only $120).

This info is all on the calendar and was sent out to all facebook group users as a reminder.

The problem is, as was with both Vienna and Tallinn, that we do not generate the demand for this satellites for these events.  Those that have made their mind up to go have tended to just buyin direct and treat it as a weekend away.  And as weekends away go, they are bloody good.   ;D

We are already offering what a number of people are asking for, so not sure what else we can do with the satellite structure for these overseas events ?

Ah must be me that was confused then I did not realise that it was for a package and possibly I ain"t the only one

Quote

Was tempted to have a bash at this but with travel/accom costs it doesn"t make sense unless i looked at it as a holiday....with added APAT tourney in the middle. Already have New York in February so the holiday is out of contention I"m afraid

Quote

I know this has been semi-mentioned before, but for the overseas events is there any way we could consider some kind of package as a prize that includes some expenses towards travel and accom - Perhaps a seat only satellite and a separate "package" satellite.

Then I found this which did say they were for packages - kind of  8)

Quote

The satellites for the previous events have all been for "packages"

The packages were a $120 seat and $280 towards expenses.

We run $20 freezeouts and $10 rebuys to win a $400 "package"

We also run a $50 super satellite with two $5 feeders to win a $400 "package".

And all of these satellites are run for two weeks.

Perhaps the packages are not enough, but it is a balance between making a package achievable for a reasonable buyin, and we just don"t get the demand to run these satellites on anything like a regular basis.

We can"t offer a guaranteed seat, so it"s the old rock and a hard place scenario.

apologies for being confused....

A straight forward post with just the details of the sats.

Don"t need a long winded description or promotion of the main event in Spain as the people looking to play the sats already know most of that - or where to find it.  What they seemed to miss in the middle of all the jumbled messages and posts were specific details of sats.

And a reminder at start of day and after 5pm on day of the sats wouldn"t go amiss either.  Just me own opinion of course.   ;)
