I think a more likely problem is that there won"t be enough people booking under the "group" code for the hotel to think it was worthwhile for them to have provided it. I don"t know exactly what they"d do in that situation, but it"s obviously preferable for it to be avoided.

They don"t seem to have a problem offering a code for 5 rooms or 25 and they have 30 days before to re-sell them.

Anyway, I believe that Chezger were going to need 5 or more by themselves, plus it seemed to me that there are a lot of people on here interested which was why I asked about increasing the number from 5.

In fact since it"s Thanksgiving Weekend I don"t think they"d have any trouble filling them.

17 people have expressed interest on the Chezger forum, actually they are all mostly APAT members as well. That makes damn near 10 rooms anyway.

Well thanks for the positve responses.

The group reference for our stay will apply from 17th - 24th November 2011. Therefore any "guests"/ other people using our code would have to be staying there at exactly the same time as we are, which is probably an unlikely scenario.

I will e-mail Hurrahs back now saying that we would like to take up their offer and request the code which I will forward to all those interested parties with the contact telephone number. It will then be up to each person to call and make their reservation. I will ask the question however, to see if the code will also work on their online reservation pages, therefore negating the need to call them.

One other point is that for anyone staying longer than these 7 nights, either before or after the 17th or 24th, the same rates are available. Just be sure to let the reservation person know when you call.

Just to confirm your stay must include the 7 nights from 17th-24th November 2011.

What I will also do is suggest that 5 weeks prior to the trip, Hurrahs email me a list of those names on our group booking and we can check to make sure that 1) everyone who should be on it is on it and 2) those on the list that we don"t know will be flagged accordingly.

Either way, as long as we book at least 5 rooms Hurrahs are happy.

When I was in Portugal recently I bought a Portuguese data card for my dongle from Vodafone that gave me 24 hours for 24 euro (£20). This is for 24 hours actual usage rather than a charge for a block of 24 hours. Maybe there are similar offers available for LV.

In room internet is nearly always in the $12 / $15 range in Vegas (or included in the similarly priced Resort Fee). I don"t know of any STRIP hotel that does not charge for it.

For phone use, I intend to use MrSimCard.com. you can get unlimited use for up to a months for around $120 (inc delivery). I think there are cheaper options for shorter periods.

I suppose you could tether but the speed probably won"t be marvellous.

In general, if you NEED internet in Vegas (and I always do) then I just factor that in to my daily cost.

The following should be a rough guide. I think £2500 should cover it.

Flight £625 BA/Virgin Economy
Hotel £200 (£100 if you share)
Food £150 (You can spend whatever you like on food but this should cover the basics i.e. pizzas/pastas/burgers)
Drink In most casinos drinks are free if you are playing poker/blackjack/slots etc...
Taxis £100 (includes approx £25 each way transfers airport/hotel/airport)
Buy-ins These vary but for the main daily tourneys in The Venitian/Caesars etc they are between £75 and £100

A cab from the airport to Harrahs should be no more than $20 plus a couple of bucks for a tip.

Alternatively, if you are prepared to wait, there is a shuttle (Bell Transport?) that services most of the strip hotels for, I think $5-$10. It stops off at several places along the way but other than walking...which isn"t an option, it"s as cheap as possible.

On the other hand, if there are boatloads of us coming in together then splitting a cab between 2-4 works out about the same.
