Total cardrack and lucky fish IMO

Joking aside, superb effort since the inception of APAT, although I hope it doesn"t continue too well

And behind door number 5 is............................

From grow

APAT is becoming the breeding ground for big scale poker success.

Two seasons ago, this lady

was sat at an APAT final table in Cardiff (getting a poker lesson or two from Tim Magnus)

This year, she won the EPT San Remo for a cool 1.25m euros and has since signed a sponsorship deal with Pokerstars.

Not a bad effort, and just shows what is possible. She even made it onto GMTV, something Tim is still trying to achieve.  ;)

Well played Liv Boeree.

Sat waiting for the clock to strike midnight, to see if window 5 was added to the calender......As per usual you didn"t disappoint.   16 seconds past midnight and there it is.

Great job Leigh.

And behind door number 6 is............................

This means nothing to me,  Ohhh Venice

That"s right, APAT headed for the European Mainland again this year.  And first stop was Vienna, well it was for 8 intrepid APATers, Tighty and Myself.  Paul McGuinness spent the weekend thinking he was in Venice.   ;D

It wasn"t the best of poker trips for the UK players.

One by one they would head to the bar. We got to make some new friends along the way.....

Tighty planned a bit of sightseeing.........

But not until we"d crowned Christoph Kreindl as APAT Central European Champion. (And we"ll see him again in Bolton this January)

Central European Championship - Live Update

Of course, for those that were fortunate enough to make the trip, there is one significant memory, that will stay with us for a very long time to come.

Whenever a particular The Eagles track comes on the radio, I can"t help but sing along with the Concorde Card Casino lyrics.   ;D

And behind door number 7 is............................

Is that lightning striking twice, but in two slightly different places, approximately the distance between Birmingham and Nottingham ?

What can it mean ?

Well, remember this guy ?

What a great four years it"s been, mocking Dan about how he won the first ever APAT event, back in the days when no one knew how to play poker.

How young does Des look ?, and as for Tikay, well, he was there.  That"s how long ago it was.

Every Kinfishi has their day, well would you Adam n Eve it, the cash grinding nit only went and won the DTD Deepstack event in August this year.

No, no, seriously, I kid you not.  You couldn"t make this stuff up.  I"m handy with photoshop, but even I have to admit this is a genuine photo.

Dan Wins DTD Deepstack, Shock Horror, I Don"t Believe It Thread

Speechless, totally speechless.

Well done Daniel Phillllllipppppps (Enough l"s and p"s ?  He"s quite particular about that  ;) )

There"s hope for us all.   ;D

awww he looks so young and cute in the first pic.  reminds me of the "before and after" pics when Tony Blair had done a few months as PM :)

seriously, was dead chuffed for Dan when he took down the DTD deepstack - one of poker"s good guys :)
