Big thanks.....
« on: June 04, 2007, 15:27:18 PM »
....to Tony, Des, Richard and helpers for organising yet another fantastic APAT live event, in Dublin.

Just please can we arrange for my other half (Cazzaline) not to be moved onto my table late in the day - I"d like a chance of making it to day 2 !

Looking forward to the European event.

All the best.

;D

I think you"re all the inspiration she needs!!  Must apologise as well, as I provided her with some of the ammunition in the form of donating some of my chips before the inevitable happened!

Great to see you both again.

I agree, thanks a lot to all the APAT team, it was a fantastic event.  Your hard work is appreciated.

Daniel, it was good to catch up with you, hope to see you at the European event.

Also sorry for not saying bye on Sunday night to you all.   It was hectic so we left as soon as it was over.

Hope to see you all soon  ;)

They weren"t as frayed as they were in Newcastle where she also finished 15th, but it was close !  :o

Still, it"s great being bankrolled by your other half !!  ;D

But does it make up for the loss of pride of losing to your other half ? any interesting last longer bets where u now have to do chores or anything until the next event?

I have no loss of pride, Chris. To be honest, I"m really proud of her for the way she"s picked up the game - long may her success continue, even if it is at the expense of me occasionaly  ;D

She"s still behind me in the local league though - just had to get that in !!  ;)

I am from Wakefield, and desperate to get some live play in (not casino) we should get together and get a home game going (HaworthBanta I was on your left on the first table)

I"m moving to Wakefield in July Nosey and would happily take some money from you in a home game.  ;D

Great to meet you (and your much better poker playing partner!) at the weekend. I was out in 18th and we railed some of the final table together.

Yes, I"m beginning to wish I"d never taught her how to play.  ;)

Organising a home game between us sounds like a good idea, I"m sure Caz wont mind taking all of our money.  ;D

Anybody fancy a meet in the mean time ? Caz and I are playing at the Gala casino in Bradford this coming Saturday. It"s a £10 freeze out pot limit holdem event - registration from 7:00pm with the game starting at 8:15pm.

Could be fun......?

Chris, I believe it"s near a cinema. I know it"s next to a Holiday Inn and opposite the Interchange - apologies, I try not to visit Bradford that often, being a simple country boy.  ;)

As far as the structure is concerned, Caz and I visited the other week and were given the following info:

Starting stack is 3,000 chips and the blinds start at 50 and 100. The first 2 levels are 30 mins, 15 mins thereafter. Dealers are provided by Gala.

A couple of friends of ours played there last Friday (finishing 2nd and 4th) and said that the blinds were 25 or 30 mins per level. They said that the structure worked ok.

Obviously it"s not up to APAT standard, but it could be a laugh.
