I just laid down AK, pre-flop.  Was to an all-in re-raise by the chip leader though!  His KK held against a short-stack"s JJ.

;D

I just laid down JJ to an All-In on 9d8d4c board. I"m now spending the break convincing myself it was the right thing to do ...

You have plenty of chips, so I"ll say yes it was a good lay down.

I wish somebody had reminded about this, I might have played!

Perhaps a phone call to all members 10 mins before the start?  :-\

Officially beyond redemption.

Good luck everyone else and well done for setting your alarm clocks.....

Well, it wouldn"t be right if you won all of them, would it?

Gone.  Card dead after my silly rush at the start.  Then I get JJ, and am looking for a caller and a double-up.  Unfortunately, he hadn"t read my script - and was holding KK that stood up.

Game over.  GL all those still in.

I feel sorry for one runner. I had 36 os UTG, and I am working away on the laptop doing some drawings, and as I have clicked on the cad software the screen somewhat jumped to the poker, i moved all in by pressing the wrong button, someon instacalls, and I hit. Oh my.....

Whoever it was... Sorry!!!

Out in 34th. One of those nights where I got into too many situations where I suspected I was behind but was getting the right odds to call. I hit squat and therefore I"m oot!  :-\

GL all who remain.

i was major short stack, less than 2 k with 30% of stack in pot with small blind,  so a partial tilt push (just lost stack with  qc qd vs  ah qh.)  yet still in my opinion i believed i was going in with what would be live cards.

12 min blinds
3000 chips to start
over in 3 hours
I know it was a satelite and not a points tourney

Didn"t play, but would be interested what people thought of the tourney.

I know Duke liked it

Was it a donkshoot? Or could the online series take a similar format with success?

Players.........advise........

Very much a donkfest at times, but ideal for a satellite.  Too quick for the online series (IMHO).

Need a LOT of luck in these things, and I got all mine early on, was chip leader and then had the "bad beats" when people are willing to commit their tournament lives on gutshots or top pair no kicker.  Can"t complain though - as these are the players you want to play against.    The problem is that if you have a quick succession of outdraws - you"re a gonner.

There"s enough play early doors, but once the blinds go up the majority are effectively fairly short-stacked and it"s a case of who can win the races.

(Note to BlueSQ - those cards you gave me in the first level - can I have them a little later in the tournament next time please.  Many thanks.)
