To anyone I"ve missed a belated Happy New Year to you all. So it"s time to start planning for the year ahead and it"s been a mixed start. Having worked through much of the festive spell, I tried to get into the spirit of things by joining in with Tombola and Raffle ticket buying in our contact centre. With the former I had the equivalent of a bad beat, when staring down bottles of whisky, various wines and many other wonderful goodies, I picked the winning ticket for........a jar of cranberry sauce and a jar of caramelised onions   I redressed the balance in the raffle though by winning a bottle of champagne  

Unfortunately gonna miss the APAT team event at Luton at the end of January but thankfully have a nice weekend to look forward to for our birthdays at the end of February in this lovely setting http://www.lake-hotel.com/gallery.aspx

Sammy is gonna be 3 years old on 28th January, meaning his warranty and all the perks of that will now be gone   The dreaded MOT will now be an annual sweat. Worse still, I"ve only gone and lost my insurance stuff and have no idea who my policy was with   Not a major problem at the moment you"d think as it runs till the end of May, but I"ve no idea whether or not I have breakdown cover just in case wee Sammy decides to throw a sicky once his warranty expires. I"m sure there are a couple of teachers in our wonderful community who would happily pass me a dunce hat for that one  

Hope things are all running smoothly for you all, best wishes for 2013, good luck to everyone playing in Luton and a huge "run good" to those who"ll be going for the Edinburgh UKIPT.

I"ll try Craig, still playing low stakes and maybe that"ll increase numbers on the site a bit. Slow going making decent profit with small numbers and few available cash tables. Bugs me that there"s no waiting lists at the cash tables and it"s very much hit & miss when a seat comes up.

A certain car insurance website answered my plea for assistance by replying to an email I sent out.... and now i feel EPIC   Got Sammy"s policy clarified and I"m organised for my warranty expiring at the end of month now.

My car has just hit the 3 year warranty thing too and when I asked the breakdown cover was due to expire at the same time so I went to moneythingy.com and got one for either 29.00 or 36.00 for the year (can"t remember) so don"t forget this. Who the fck  on earth decided it would be a good idea to let Grub Smith commentate on the Aussie Millions coverage? Been watching it through the High Roller tourney, PLO & NLHE cash games and I"m tempted to stop watching it before the ME starts. I almost slipped into a coma last week listening to him!

Yep definitely alive in body but was lacking in soul rich. Hadn"t played any live poker since December or online since January, been missing my regular feast of gigs & haven"t been to anything since T in the park last July. Thankfully decided to remedy that yesterday by venturing out to The mint casino in Glasgow for a nice deepstack game, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Flopped quads early then milked a bunch of chips from a lady who called my preflop 3 bet with K4os against my AK, and then called every street down to the river when she hit her King  

Wheels fell of in level 5 when another AK ran into AQ with an ace on flop and turn and guess what on river   Amazingly my opponent didn"t double himself up by only min-raising my river bet when he hit his queen, but dented my stack pretty badly. In level 6 a shove with flopped nut flush draw/straight draw missed completely v flopped 2 pair and that was that.

No arguments about my play, got paid fairly well with my big hands and could"ve lost more when I was behind. More imporatntly got back on the horse and felt the bug again   maybe will lead to seeing you all again soon!
