OK so I don"t usually play during the day but while I reg"d for the Leg 5 game of the APAT mini league decided to stick my $5 worth in for a $1500 guaranteed 12 min 1500 chips game.
15 mins in and doubled my stack, made a couple of notes about this level as it"s been a while since I played it......If a hand has a nickname it doesn"t necessarily mean you should play it (e.g J5 lol), Try not to get sucked into the Freeroll mentality of many of the players (just saw a shove for 30 BBs with K9 instacall by A6
I"m interested to know is this standard at this level on other sites?
Not even ended level 2 and from 370 starters already down to 250, the Poker Gods won"t be required for this particular event so i"m sure they"ll be enjoying the lie-in.
Just donked half my stack, flush on turn busted by 4th diamond on river for guy with KK! Just saw another example of above with blinds 25/50 player shoved for 1200 with 6/6 preflop instacall by Q7, so glad the 6 came on flop tbh
and now down below 200 players left
Nice treble up with 8/8, 7/8/J flop and 7 on river sealed it against QQ & AQ, then laid down A/Ks on J high rainbow board after 3 calls to my 4*BB preflop raise and 2 betting on flop. One of them takes the pot with A/10s with flush on river, the other who started on the SB shows J/8os. That"s what happens when you call a raise with garbage OOP, let that be a lesson to any kids out there
Now at 3.4k 63rd of 166 left.
Blinds 60/120 EP raise to 360, 1 caller mid table and I go set mining on button with 2/2. Q/6/2 rainbow flop check check check. 6 on turn, check check, put in a half pot bet and fold fold
Break time 67th of 142 with 3.7k, average 3.9.
Went card dead after break with too much raising going on to my right and 2 of top 10 chip leaders on my left, unable really to play at all. Halfway through the 100/200 level busted out 106th with 10/10 v J/J, 9/8/5 flop. No help and I"m outta this cheap hotel......for now!!!! Never really got going, would"ve made a difference if my flush held earlier but That"s Poker
