For the very first time London plays host for the next stop in the hugely popular series: Betfair Poker LIVE!

Betfair Poker LIVE! London will take place between February 12th and 13th at the Fox Poker Club in the heart of London"s Soho district, boasting a main event, a turbo bounty side event and a £37,000 prize pool.

Saturday February 12th features the £230+£20 two-day Main Event, while Sunday 13th features the £30+£3 turbo bounty side event. Players participating in Betfair Poker LIVE! London will enjoy Betfair"s legendary hospitality, receive goodie bags and free massages, and have the chance to win a package to a future Betfair Poker LIVE! Event.

Satellite qualification is coming soon, with buy-ins starting from just 55 cents.

Does anyone else find the satellite setup for this event quite restrictive ?

Only on a Sunday night, $120 for a $700 package.


Would more players try to qualify if there were satellites for seats only ($400)

Say $50 freezeouts, or $20 rebuys ?

I want to go back to Betfair with a suggestion, any thoughts ?

With you totally on this.
$10/$20 rebuys sound much more "user friendly".
I personally like the "expenses" bit as it makes for a free weekend!
2/3 seats guaranteed & i think more players would give it a go.

I see what you mean, doesn"t quite add up.  I"m not aware of any additional fees being charged.  Might just be a lack of calculator skills at Betfair.  I will ask the question though.

Having a $50 freezeout or a $10/$20 rebuy sounds a good idea. I"d love to qualify for London and would definitely be interested in playing some of these.

Right, got to the bottom of the payout thing.  It was originally going to be 160 runners, which is £36,800 (£37k).  Max capacity has been slightly increased, no one changed the detail.

I have spoken with the powers that be at Betfair, and they are happy to setup some additional satellites, but I"d need to be sure that there is the demand for it.

Suggestions are

$50 Freezeout for either a $400 seat or a $700 package

$20 Rebuy for either a $400 seat or a $700 package


There wouldn"t be any guaranteed seat/package with these, so if we didn"t get the runners, then it would just payout the cash as normal.  I might be able to talk them into having them without any reg fee aswell.

This all comes down to the demand from APAT players, so let"s be avin" yer
