Betfair London Live - APAT Exclusive League

Who fancies starting the New Year in style ?

Betfair Poker have generously given us a seat to the upcoming Betfair Poker Live event to be held in London on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of February 2011.

And we are going to give it away to one lucky (or successful) APAT member, and here"s how we"re going to do it :-


Between Monday 3rd January and Friday 7th January, we will be running five legs of an APAT Mini League on Betfair Poker.  Each event will start at 8pm, and along with the usual Betfair Poker payout structure, the top 25% of players in each event will earn league points.  The top three scores from each player will go towards their Mini League total, and the player with the most points after the five events will get themselves a $400 ticket to enter the Betfair Poker Live London event.

League Points Scoring

The top 25% (rounded up) of finishers in each event will earn league points.  e.g.

Event gets 67 runners, top 25% is 17 runners.  1st place gets 17 points, 17th place gets 1 point

Event gets 42 runners, top 25% is 11 runners.  1st place gets 11 points, 11th place gets 1 point

Event gets 117 runners, top 25% is 30 runners.  1st place gets 30 points, 30th place gets 1 point


T"s & C"s

Only a players top 3 scores will count towards the league table.

In the event of a tie, then the player with the most points finishes will be the winner.  If this does not result in a winner, then the player with the highest individual points scored in a single event will be the winner. 

The added value Betfair Poker Live Seat is not transferrable.  Should the winner not be able to attend the event, then the prize will be offered to the next placed finisher on the leaderboard, and so on.

The successful player will be expected to wear an APAT branded shirt during the live tournament.

Normal APAT T"s & C"s apply.

And as usual, there"s not a single reg fee to be seen in any of these tournaments.

Correct, I"ve tried to add some weighting to the number of runners, without making it an overly complicated scoring system.

I would imagine we will get similar number of runners for most of the events, and it"s an level playing field for everyone.
