It was the PCB! Cost me another fecking £170 though ffs! If I wasn"t so stupid impatient, I could have got a reconditioned one off ebay for £35 :)

Money well spent though I reckon, as I bask in the warmth for the first time in a week.

I"ve been up to my niece"s house this morning and fitted a couple of wall lights for her. Last week I fitted a new ceiling light and dimmer switch. I reckon I"m in with a shout for the Uncle of the Year title.

Gonna do a bit of tidying up too. I"m sure I used to have more floor space than this.

This afternoon is obviously set aside for the Six Nations rugby but I really need to get cracking with the blonde sit n go league. I"ve got to play 25 by the end of February for my results to count. I"ve only played two upto now but I"ve somehow managed to win them both.

My poker education is a bit stalled at the moment too. Books not being read, training videos not being watched, hand analysis boards not being posted on - must do better.

I"m taking part in the blonde sit n go league on Sky Poker. I very rarely play sit n gos but I seem to have hit a rare vein of form/luck.

Admittedly it"s a tiny sample and I won"t carry on like this but I"ve played 6 of the £5.50 6 seater regular tournies and I"ve won 4 and finished 2nd in the other two!

I"ve gone the other way for this promotion.

I"ve played about as many sit n goes on sky for this promotion as I had in total before this month.

I cashed in nearly all of them leading up to this promotion - and failed to cash in nearly all of them during.

It"s managed to make my average ROI go from plus (something like) 25% to minus 10% :(

Not feeling the love from SkyPoker this month at all - I"m hoping I get it back next month

Time for a musical interlude I reckon.

I love this song. I was introduced to it and indeed the genre by friends in the early 90s. A wonderful time i my life during which we visited the Fleadh at Finsbury Park a few times. Just brilliant.

When I hear this I"m always left close to tears.

This is one of my favourite early Costello tracks. It"s from his brilliant second album, This Year"s Model. Apologies for the rubbish vid but the song"s brill. Great words:

Don"t say you love me when it"s just a rumour
Don"t say a word if there is any doubt.
Sometimes I think that love is just a tumour;
you"ve got to cut it out.
You say you"re sorry for the things that you"ve done.
You say you"re sorry but you know you don"t mean it.
I wouldn"t worry. I had so much fun.
Sometimes I almost feel just like a human being

It"s you
not just another mouth in the lipstick vogue
It"s you
not just another mouth in the lipstick vogue
oh yeah.

Get to the slot machine almost dead on arrival
Just hit me one more time with that live wire
Maybe they told you you were only a girl in a million
You say I"ve got no feelings;
this is a good way to kill them.

Select the control and then insert the token
You wanna throw me away but I"m not broken.
You"ve got a lot to say. Well I"m not joking.
There are some words they don"t allow to be spoken.
Sometimes I almost feel just like a human being

It"s you
not just another mouth in the lipstick vogue

I was at Finbarr Furey"s wedding - it was awesome and I was at their mother"s funeral which was twice as awesome.

Good times
