Taking half a day on Thursday to nip down to Luton to meet Dawn off the plane. I am SO looking forward to that moment! After we"ve been prised apart, we"ll make the hour trip back up the M1 and start the process of settling Dawn in to our new home. I"ll be settling in as well; it"s been a while since there was a woman around the place.

I know a few folk will have reservations about our pairing but I"ve got to say neither of us could be more certain about it. This is gonna be good.

Nearly finished my cleaning last night in preparation for the arrival. I would have completed it but my old faithful Electrolux hoover fell on its sword and expired among the acrid fumes of burnt insulation. It was 18 years old but with embarrassingly low mileage

Anyway the new, sw4nky Dyson is on order and no, it"s not Dawn"s welcome to Leicester present!

I also ordered my groceries from Tesco"s last night and can confirm that the old adage that "two can eat as cheaply as one" is pretty much shot to 5hit!

Especially if one was existing on own-brand pies & macaroni but two are dining on salmon & asparagus.

Final preparations for Dawn"s arrival made and it"s finally Thursday 16th June - it seems like it"s been forever coming.

I am really, really looking forward to this. As I said to Dawn this evening, we"ve fallen in love, now we need to get to know each other

Despite a heavy night last night, having a goodbye drink with mates at her house in Knocknagree, Dawn"s started her journey to our new home in Leicestershire. She"s en route for Kerry International Airport at this very moment.
