Time for a change
« on: February 20, 2011, 10:45:18 AM »
Logging on this morning reminded me that it is time to change certail aspects of the website.

Whilst hearty congratulations were due to the Team APAT, thay are no longer team champions of the UK, and as much as Liv Borree is pleasant to the eye. She no longer qualifies for APAT status, therefore really should not be advertising the forum.

Update...................................soon?

Are you suggesting that team APAt are not pleasing on the eye Chris?

Thanks for the suggestions but I am not intending to change either of those images at this time.

Whilst I am in in no way suggesting or requesting that the CURRENT Team Champs picture should adorn the top of this forum, I do think that something more generic (but accurate) might be better than the current, out of date, offering.

Any chance you could go a bit back up the to-do list and tick off the "change Southampton Poker Club to Solent Poker Club" item?

Just add "2010" after UK Team Champions.

Much easier and quicker.
Des has got other more important things to deal with right now after all.

Problem is, Des wouldn"t be able to change the banner pic to show the current team champions, cos no team victory pic exists given that half of the team disappeared before the end, unlike the victorious APAT team pictured.

Like I said, although there is a full team photo available, I see no need to add my classically handsome features to the head of this forum.  ;D

The position isn"t reserved for the Team Champs as such but it is very difficult to frame a picture in that space and the modest me would say we were very lucky with that particular shot. A pic of four seated and four standing would not work unfortunately. The current pic and the Liv pic both work well from a branding point of view despite some of te dodgy mugs in the team pic ;)

960 x 200....couldn"t be hard to find a generic APAT shot what could be tweaked in Photoshop.

Why would I want to find a generic branding shot when the perfect shot is currently in place?
