United Kingdom Pub Poker Championship - Discussion
« on: March 14, 2011, 20:57:22 PM »
Hi.

Does anyone know if the Pub Poker championship in Blackpool is a normal buy-in event the same as the other APAT tournaments?

Can any APAT player buy-in?

Will the structure be the same as the UK champs etc.

I"m looking to plan my diary around the tour events and I"m hoping this is one I can enter.

Is there any information available on this at all yet? How many in a team? The buy in? etc etc. i know it seems like a long way away, but it"s going to be played slap bang in the middle of the year when players are going to be going on holiday and I would really like to know, well, anything really! Thanks!

Information on this is minimal at the moment (unless you are Des) BUT from what I have gathered this will be very much like the forum team events of previous years.

Basically it will be open to legitimate national and organised local pub leagues and there will NOT be individual buy-in as per standard national APAT events.

I believe that Des is compiling a list from places who have contacted him about participating at the moment and wil be posting more information here and other places...when he"s good and ready.  ;D

Sounds a great idea - look forward to reading more details.

Will this be a one or 2 day event ?

Blackpool in June

Good Luck with this.

Steve,

It"s scheduled to be two days but I don"t know the format yet. If BLAPO/LPP are interested, you might want to PM Des.

Hi Paulie

Have been speaking to him this AM as it was he that mentioned it to me - Thanks for the Heads up though on it being a 2 dayer - obviously affects travel plans as most would prob like to get up to Blackpool on Friday - leave Monday so can get the most out of the weekend.

Congrats on LPM winning The APAT Forum Game now you will have to organise next years one after all :)

Have mentioned it to a few people I know who run PPL"s and posted the link to this thread on LPP.

Would be interested to know how we can be included/considered for this - currently play in the Champions Pub Poker League.

Thanks for any help

I run a pub league at Bill Quay Cricket Club in Gateshead, we would love to be included in this if possible

Can anyone advise on entry or qualification for this event.

e.g. Can you register and pay before the tourny (and when).
Are there any on line qualifiers.
Do you have to be a member of a pub poker league.

I think I was reading this wrong. I was hoping for a chance for my poker league to play against other poker leagues like the national ones to see which league had the better players... but it"s pub v pub instead. Will have to think about getting a team up anyway but I can see it being way oversubscribed.
