Just a quickie....I know Leckwith Avenue as I stopped with old friends there once that I have now lost touch with. Is this casino new by any chance???....and as Leckwith Avenue is a stones-throw from Ninian Park, have they knocked that down to build this ??

Nope at least I don"t think so...it"s on an old "green field" site....if you can find it on Google Maps...it shows nothing there...new industrial/retail site I would guess.

EDIT: Yep...heres the WIKI link.

Churchills Hotel (Llandaf Place) is one of the closest and comes in at about £40 a single, other than that anywhere on Cathedral Road is convenient. Loads of small hotels and guest houses such as Courtfield Hotel - £30 single - or Penrhys Hotel, Preste Gaarden Hotel, The Regan Hotel, Beverley Hotel - if you"re lucky you should be able to find something from about £25 single in that area.

I know this is a little "off thread", but have any sats been announced for Cardiff yet?

Casino opened just over a year ago.

ninian park was knocked down and replaced by houses, cardiff city stadium is over the road from where ninian used to be

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

I think it unlikely that there will be spare seats available on-site and the current plans are for satellites and direct buy-in via 888 at the moment.
