I know we are only one event into Season 5, but this is something that that struck me when the current schedule was announced. And when it comes to laying out the schedule for next year, it can never be too soon to give it consideration.
------------------
For many regular APAT players Season 5 will have become essentially a five [main] event series, running from March to August, with a month off in June.
Events from September through January "12 will prove inaccessable to most, due to cost/time off work/team selection. I am not suggesting that these events should not take place, just that they should be spread though the year.
A schedule that has a UK event every two months, culminating in the World Champs at DTD in January, might hold peoples interest better.
Whilst the poker calendar is very congested these days, I don"t think there is any need to worry about clashes with anything that has a buy-in of £300+.
Are Bank Holiday weekends the right time to schedule events? Does it exclude more players with family commitments, than those that it attracts?

Disclaimer: I realise that there are many other outside influences that shape the APAT schedule and that may be why the season 5 schedule is the way that it is.
