APAT UK Pub Poker Championship - Request Thread
« on: April 18, 2011, 11:03:58 AM »
The APAT United Kingdom Pub Poker Championship; the fifth event of Season Five, will be held at the G Casino in Blackpool on June 25th & 26th, 2011.

Following on from the very successful UK Team Championship events of the past three seasons; this event will be open to Pub teams of 8 players, with 50% of the prize pool plus a UKIPT Seat and National Medals going towards individual prizes, while the other 50% of the prize pool, plus the title and Championship Cup will be awarded in the UK Pub Poker Championship event.

Players participating will be required to wear uniform team shirts representing their Pubs, which should be provided by the Pubs / players themselves.

The entry fee per player will be £50, with no registration fee being charged.  The event will consist of fifteen Pub Teams in total.  Players finishing in the top 50 positions of the Championship will earn points for their Pub team; with 1 point being earned for an exit in 50th place and 50 points being earned for winning the event.

If you would like to enter your local Pub into the APAT United Kingdom Pub Poker Team Championship, then please declare your interest by stating the name and location of your Pub, confirming that you can raise a team of 8 players.

Oh....and as I obviously misunderstood re-our conversation at Coventry about this event Des, my apologies if I caused any offence with any posts I made on here regarding this event. It was all said tongue-in-cheek, though as I have said elsewhere today, things written down can"t always convey the context in which they are meant.

The Three Pigeons, Witney (home of the hardest pub game in the country  :o), would like to take part please.

We currently have three part-time APAT"ers and several who keep threatening to come to an APAT tournament... this would be the perfect introduction for them.

Strange one this as probably most of the Forum teams will play their home games in Pubs and Clubs, as such wont you just get the same teams as in the Forum Champs? See Brians post above. If that is okay and is the case I would like to nominate "The Pavilion" home of Barnoldswick cricket club and the venue for LBPNs games.  :)

The LPM (current Team champions, don"t you know) are primarily home game based.

We do have members who play pub poker but given that we cover ALL of London...it"d be hard to pick ONE pub.

Not entirely, the Three Pigeons does not currently have a forum, therefore we did not take part in the Forum Champs.  :D

This is the "Pub Poker Championships" and we play poker in a pub, as do the SSPC and many others.

It is the only pub I personally play poker in although some of the BCPC play in others and may therefore wish to enter a team from those instead.
