Any news about European Championship?
« on: December 30, 2007, 22:22:43 PM »
Is there any news about European Championship?

Will it still be on the scheduled date? - so that leave can be arranged at work if needs be.

Has a venue been decided?

Will regionals be arranged for qualification?

Sorry for all the questions.

Happy and prosperous new year, may the cards be with you in 2008.

It"s definitely on the 22 & 23 March.

Venue, qualification details, etc., yet to be announced.

I think Des gave a few very subtle clues the other day.  But I might be reading too much into what he said.

Wasn"t Vienna he was hinting at (if he was hinting at anything), but that was where Tighty was hinting at.

Misdirection?

Des said it "has a pool in it". Going by the "clues" and guesses, I searched Google for a casino in Austria with a pool and couldn"t find one!

Someone then suggested that it could be the new Casino in Liverpool ...

Monday 28th March? That"s a Friday on my Calendar ...

Maybe APAT have booked it out like a Private Party and it"s open to "the public" from the following weekend  :-\

We are still very much aiming for the scheduled date.  There will be online satellites and a direct buy in, but we have never planned a live Regional qualifying round for this event.  When we have more information, we will publish.

Des also stated that it was on mainland europe so that would discount anywhere in the UK.

My money is on Nantes. ;)
