8th October at the Mint looks like a no-go according to John Clark (tourney organiser). He suggested we could do the 1st or 15th October, or alternatively all join the £30+5 deepstack game on 1 of the Sundays (9th suits me). If we get enough numbers he says he"ll set up sarnies and stuff for us as well

Played yesterday, only 13 showed up so pretty disappointing. The 2 old firm teams were playing so imagine that"s why the numbers were so low

only problem with the sunday is the whole of team glasgow will miss the APAT league game. lol

I"m working 6pm-midnight 1st October but will shuffle it around if needed.

Thought i"d start a new thread instead of clogging up the sign up thread.

Some of us joined Team Glasgow from the Scottish Championships, Some of us from the build up to it and some of us are just part of the APAT proverbial furniture. The fact is we all found our way to Team Glasgow and we as a team are looking bigger and stronger (and uglier) than ever and what better to bring the team together than a nice team building day of taking each others money in the competitive art form we all know and love as live poker!

So on that note here goes......

Private tournament for Team Glasgow + Specially selected guests (we all have friends who we can invite along that maybe dont play online or aint on APAT or suchlike)

Saturday 1st October 2011
Venue - Mint casino Glasgow
Buy in - £30 + £5



We would need minimum 30 players to cover the venue cost but my idea would be to get 50+ players and hopefully get a few more Team Glasgow sign ups through it aswell.


So there it is folks please post your thoughts and if you are attending ASAP (this week preferably) so we can get it booked and confirmed.

Ok guys 8th was booked so had to change to 1st. Hope this os good for everyone don"t forget to invite friends and lets make it a great day

Cheers Paul, good work. Can we get an idea of time, what kind of structure etc and get a link to facebook to spread around. As recent Scottish Winner I"m gonna donate a wee Team Glasgow trophy to the winner

what you think folks we letting the easties join in? you guys are more than welcome as far as im concerned, we can get you wee badges so we know who we are beating in the league. lol. The more the merrier!

For the record i am from "Mutherwell" but now live in the east ..... Just in case you rule out all East coast boys. Unless you class east coast anything past  Cambuslang am done either way

Seems fine to have an open invite, I agree the more the merrier and I"m sure the venue would welcome all as well (maybe worth checking about membership, ID etc if needed for anyone who"s not already a memeber of Stanley/Mint). It"s not likely to attract people from much further than the central belt anyway.

Think we should make this an annual APAT mini-event if it works out?
