I"m happy with the precedent

Assuming next year we hold one in Brighton, hypothetically, Team Solent would be invited etc etc as long as the local club was active, contributing to furthering APAT etc etc

Great idea. I only just connected the league team that gained an entry, with the venue. My thought was that we would end up with a glut of league teams entering, and it just becomes a live version of the online league. I see now that this is obviously not the case.

2 be fair with apat they have all ways been prepared to to set awkward precedents if they think its for the good off poker i mean they let the BCPC play in the forum team comps for many a year and they dont have a forum

We as a club are very proud to be offered this place, and honoured to be the first, in no doubt a line of many APAT clubs to play "host club" in this event in the coming years.
