Brighton - Future APAT venue?
« on: September 15, 2011, 14:08:15 PM »
I saw the announcement that the SPT are holding a leg at The Rendezvous in Brighton. Is there now potential for this to be a future APAT venue for next season if they are now being more accommodating for poker events? Been mentioned lots of times (mainly by John Murray) but would be great to see a leg of the APAT tour down south.

I agree...but I believe that Tighty approached them before and they weren"t interested or there were other reasons why it couldn"t be done....but I"m sure there is always scope for checking back with them.

I think this is worthy of being in the National Tour section as other, similar, discussions are going on there.

I don"t think Brighton should be used for APAT events - it would be hard for some of us to get there.

Agreed. Brighton is way to far away from the Midlands. When do we get Walsall back?

Actually Mark it"s going to be held at the G Casino, not Rendezvous. Shame as G casino parking is a nightmare and Rendezvous have their own car park, however I"m very, very happy to see a tournament that isn"t too expensive down near us (structure nowhere near as good as APAT though). Just got to qualify now as no buy in!

Just to caution....Brighton is one of numerous venues currently under discussion - we have not agreed to host a tournament there at this point.

Personally i"m looking forward to next years APAT West Bromwich, apparently to be held at the New Talbolt.
