Individual League Scores, Rule Clarification
« on: October 09, 2011, 22:13:00 PM »
OFFICIAL UPDATE;

In order to be fair to all players and to clarify the rules the following applies to points scoring;

Top 18 Points scorers individual points will be protected, team points allocation rule will remain as is.

Therefore it is possible to score points for the team but not for yourself (ie. finish 20th but 6 players in one team score points, you will score 3 points for the team but NOT for yourself).

This is being clarified because there is a prize for individual effort. This will ensure that it is fair for all and complies with the Top 18 scoring rule.

This clarification will be applied retrospectively and individual points will be updated for Div 1 and 2. Team points will not be affected by this.

We appreciate that work has gone into calculating these points by APAT forum members (particularly Gerry and Ian) and this was taken into consideration, however we felt this was clarification was required to prevent potential issues at the end of season and the work required to recalculate will not be too much effort.

If you have any queries, I know none of you will hesitate to let me know :)

Am I correct in saying that it is also possible to score points for your yourself but not for your team. i.e. you finish 18th so you get the 3 individual points but 4 teammates finished higher so you don"t contribute to team points?
