JAMESORCHARD FINDS RICH PICKINGS

The penultimate matchday in the  APAT Premier League took place on Sunday.  The 34 teams battling it out on Grosvenor Poker Online with over £1,100 up for grabs along with the all important team matchday points.  The Grand Final with £4,000 of live tournament seats is now just weeks away.

The teams were drawn into four conferences to play ‘matches’ against each other every week.  Here’s a reminder of the conference draw :-

FIVE TEAMS IN WITH A SHOUT IN THE CLUB CONFERENCE

Very much all to play for in the Club Conference.  UTFB Dragons and Trump Cards occupy the top two spots, but with the third and fourth places teams currently the wildcards, and Team RoosterBooster level on points with them in fifth, it could go any which way during the final matchday.

YORKSHIRE’S WHITE ROSES CLAIM GRAND FINAL PLACE IN THE DIAMOND CONFERENCE

Victories for Yorkshire’s White Roses to make it six out of six wins sees them guaranteed a Grand Final place.  A win for Cream of LBPN against Hitsquad Majors sees them level on points now, along with Punters Lounge Poker Club, all vying for the remaining Grand Final place from the Diamond Conference.

BIG POTATOES AS GOOD AS THERE IN THE HEART CONFERENCE

Big Potatoes are all but mathematically in the Grand Final, leaving the final place to what looks like a shootout between Team Spawn and Quad Jokers.  FPG Team 1 have banked enough team points though to leapfrog both if results were to go their way on the final Matchday.

WHO NEEDS FRIENDS HANGING ON IN THE SPADE CONFERENCE

With The Chips Don’t Lie, Shakira Shakira already in the Grand Final, the teams are queuing up beneath them for the second spot.  Who Needs Friends are in prime position, but will need to get a result and keep a good look over their shoulders during the final Matchday.

The Club Conference is currently the home of the two ‘Wildcard’ spots in the shape of FPG Team 2 and Team Gotham.  The FPG Team 2 would seem very likely to get a Grand Final spot even if they don’t finish in the top two positions due to their huge 645pts so far.  It could all change though with one matchday to go.
