Nitting It Up For The Win In Nottingham
I feel that was an APAT weekend where we can say huge congrats to absolutely everyone involved – Dusk Till Dawn Poker & Casino and every member of their staff from Glenn Townsend, bar staff and valets to Ryan Brodsky and his team on the floor, and security – thanks for the great welcome into DTD and for hosting such a memorable event for APAT – 40 teams – 320 players – countless laughs and a few beers – what more could anyone want.
Well I suppose bagging an APAT medal would top it off, so to Tom Clark well done buddy absolutely delighted for you, and for your team East Herts Poker League who you also bagged an auto guaranteed invite to the 2021 event ? To our very own Matt Dale – a Silver medal and a weekend to remember (well, we’ll remember it, not sure about you mate ?? ) and Ryan Kilbey from the Hetton Mob chuffed to bits with his ‘2nd’ medal of the weekend picking up individual Bronze ?
40 epic teams competed, included some regulars from DTD and it’s certainly true to say we made them feel very welcome to an APAT event as the comments expressed to me were very complimentary – so to the APAT regulars, HUGE thanks for continuing to make APAT what it is today – welcoming, social, friendly and competitive – making people feel part of it right from the word go is something very special for APAT – thank you to each and every one of you ?
Well done to Mark Lassman and his APAT Degens team picking up bronze medal ?. Just missing out and picking up Silver medal were the Hetton Mob, and led by Captain Gary Roberts they yet again brought us some great laughs and great poker with 2 of their members making the final table ?.
To the Victors the Spoils – an APAT Gold medal to Matthew ‘Gilly’ Gilland and his team Two and a Half Nits – from calculators to fingers to group chats and bags of nerves and frantically pacing to and fro as the action unfolded and the leaderboard constantly updated to give a totally different perspective every few minutes – these guys went through all the emotions to take down their first UK Team Championship and walk away with Championship Gold – great work guys ?
Don’t forget on Feb 10th we host the ‘APAT Wrap Up’ on partypoker where everyone can get together on the virtual felt & play for $600 ADDED value in MILLIONS Passport Tickets.
Finally, from Leigh, Des, Matt (Silver medal ya all know!) Lucy and I – THANK YOU ? and I hope to see you all again soon, somewhere on the APAT Tour – you can find the ‘latest’ stop releases here bit.ly/APATTour with Final Table blog bit.ly/APATTeamD2 and weekend pics with huge thanks to Andy Creasey bit.ly/UKT20Pics
