Elsewhere, event #11 World Amateur Team Championship kicked off and it is defending champions France who top the leaderboard at the end of day one.
France are followed closely by Scotland and Italy, 3 points back, while Ireland, Belgium and England remain in strong contention for the title.
Tomorrow will see a round of Hold’em and PLO sit & goes, plus the MTT – so it’s all still very much to play for.
