Unfortunately Des can't make Vegas, and as somebody had to go! I look forward to being there to look after all our prizewinners/ travellers who we hope will have a fabulous time - be it your first visit or if you're a seasoned Las Vegas veteran!
Lucy Amos and Leigh Wiltshire will also be in Vegas, and we'll be providing a live blog/update on the fortunes, or otherwise, of all our travellers who won entry to the WSOP Colossus via our Season 10 celebratory Destination Vegas promotion - we'll also be reporting during the APAT North American Championship being played at the Golden Nugget Casino in Downtown Fremont Street on Wednesday 7th June.
And it's in Downtown Fremont Street that we'll be staying for the week - at the Four Queens Hotel right in the thick of the action - with the Fremont Street Experience - the best place to enjoy free, live music in Las Vegas with three outdoor stages, a rotating schedule of non-stop talent performing music from just about every musical genre you can imagine - and at weekends the party atmosphere is electric - even Lucy and Leigh can let loose and dance like nobody's watching!
And let's not forget the iconic Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, and Binions... WHERE IT ALL STARTED... hard to believe that when the WSOP began back in 1970, there were fewer than 50 poker tables in the entire city of Las Vegas, and Binion's Horseshoe, the host casino, did not even have a poker room. The contest that would come to decide poker's first world champion was held inside an alcove about the size of an ordinary hotel room. Thirty or so gamblers shoehorned themselves around a few poker tables. They didn't know it at the time, but they were making poker history.

Although we expect most people will want to just 'get out there' and experience Vegas for themselves, we will be only too happy to ensure everyone is well catered for - and to that end, the week has been planned to allow everyone time to do exactly what they want - be that on their own accord or as part of some organised APAT group gatherings.
