Setting the disappointment aside from those teams who we just simply couldn"t accommodate within the team limit for this event, we are pleased however to announce that we have negotiated with Grosvenor G Casino Manchester to add 3 extra tables to the event - and although we could select up to 33 teams, we felt it more appropriate to select 31 teams and in association with our sponsors Coral, an online team qualifying event will be held for teams who have not already secured a place to compete against each other for the final, additional 32nd and 33rd team places.
Keeping to the same format as the UK Team Championship, teams of 8 will play in an MTT where the top 100 players will earn points on the following scale:
1st 100 pts; 2nd 99 pts; ..... down to 100th 1 pt
For those team members who have an account associated with our relationship with the sponsors Coral - ie affiliated with APAT/Coral, each team member will be awarded 2 pts immediately at the start of the event which will be in addition to any points won for their team from their event finishing position.
Exact details of the event will be confirmed before 31st Aug at the latest, but to get signed up now then simply download an APAT/Coral account by clicking
HERE and get a head start for your team...
