A Journey to the wsop, then Blackpool
« on: July 01, 2008, 21:27:06 PM »
Tomorrow i set off on a journey which involves, planes trains and automobiles.A 1 hour drive ,a near 5 hour train ride,a night in london then off to vegas.
Now being a tall ,skinny chap a 10 1/2 hour flight doesn"t appeal to me what so ever, but the chance to play in the wsop main event is every poker players dream
I"m just a recreational player ,i have no dreams what so ever to make a career out of poker. The thing is i just love the game and playing live is what its all about.Staring some one down ,pulling off an outrageous bluff  but most of all just having fun at the table.Untill i joined  apat i had never set foot in a casino ,then a year and 1/2 on im in vegas for the first time.
In the blog i will try and put down the key hands(sorry not in thinkers league),if i last long enough ;D.Hopefully some amusing stories and in general my thoughts on vegas. Finally on my return i get 7 hours sleep then off to Blackpool for the forum challenge.I think i"m getting to old for this carry on.

FFS Micky are we commited to doing this now?

You do realise this will take time we could be spending more wisely!!!

Sigh...okay will do my best to remember (could be difficult if in Micky"s company  :D ) any interesting events of our trip.

Currently getting packed for 6.15am flight from Edinburgh to Gatwick then the onward to McCarron. Not looking forward to the flight just want to be there  :)

See you in a couple of days mate give me a shout when you arrive.
