Good morning everyone and welcome back to Namur for Day 1B of the Belgian Amateur Poker Championship!
Day 1A saw 86 players and after 12 levels of play, only 18 of them bagged their chips to come back on Sunday for the conclusion.
We lost most of our BWIN players and qualifiers; the only one surviving Day 1A was Geert Sluys. He has 48.300, which is well below the average stack of about 73.000). But with blinds starting at 1000-2000/300 he still has chips to play.
Chipleader is Italian Salvatore Stancamdiano who has 146.900 as he edged out Ruben Teck with 145.300.
Poker Belgique player Kevin Pietquin is in 3rd with 128.300.
Day 1B promises to be a big one... We"ll have a dozen of Brits in the field today; and numerous Dutchies and Germans are also expected to make their way over here.
5 more BWIN players will also be playing; one of them is Joachim Wallaert who currently sits 2nd in our APAT Belgium Player of the Year ranking.
And we have Jerry Vandyck and Jan Kusters; who were both part of last season"s APAT Team Belgium.
Good luck to everyone; play will be begin at 14:00 sharp!
