Useful stuff, Paulie!

I finally got round to booking a hotel for Luton this morning. I was about to book one of Paulie"s choices, but then had a look at a map and found that these two hotels are the other side of the train station, so the casino is between these hotels and the station.

For those of you coming by train, I"ve just booked the easyhotel which is right by the station, and probably still closer to the casino than the two that Paulie has suggested above.

It cost me £56, which seemed fine, but then I realised it was £56 for two nights! It will be pretty basic, but then I won"t be in the room much, hopefully! Everything is extra (£5 for a TV remote!), but it will be clean and very convenient.

Hope that helps!

I stayed at the Easyhotel once, never again.  I cannot advise strongly enough against staying there.  It might seem cheap, but all the other hotels listed are MUCH better value for money.

GL crissmatty, hope you enjoy your 1st Apat tourney. I"m sure you will regardless of poker results. Obviously more enjoyable with a cash, but fab guys n gals, you"ll have a blast.

Paulie you"ve let the side down....... Travelwise. Hotels, great, but what about us that have to travel?

You see we"ve become soooooo dependant on you and your suggestions, why i can"t even think my way into Rhyl town centre nowadays without consulting the Guru. So here it is, sort yourself out with the train stops etc or i"m off to speak with Judith Chalmers or even alan Whicker.

Should i take the A41? better than motorway and what with roadworks near toll road.........ooops, sorry i"m doing your, "job"......... ;D ;D

Oh...so now I have to hold your bl**dy hand for you now, do I?

Sheesh...talk about unappreciated....anyway, I don"t usually provide transport information for people coming from abroad!  ;D

Finally...I DO have a suggestion for you...but I don"t think you"ll like it.

Rhyl airport is closed for resurfacing so he has to drive himself. He will get lost.

ok guys - need some help please. I just tried to book a room at Days Inn and it is now full (my own fault for leaving it till the last minute)

I"ve had a look at the list of hotels above and wondered if anyone has any experience of any of the others. I"m only wanting a room for Saturday night so I don"t want to stay in a hovel! However I also don"t want to be miles from the casino as I"ll have to find my way back on my own late Saturday night.

This is my first apat event and I"m nervous enough already. Help me please  :(

Strathmore is grand and doesn"t cost a fortune for taxis.
