looks like i could get train down to edinburgh and fly to barcelona getting in at 9pm flight is only £35
or train to glasgow and fly into girona around about the same time same price
this leave me with a £40 taxi from girona or £120 taxi from barca and the £50 train fare to the airport

flying with BA is £190 flight but means i will be in around the same time as everyone else

Get it booked up one way or the other. A late arrival on Friday would not be that bad, you still have the rest of the weekend to catch up !!!!!!

btw - how is everybody getting from the airport to the hotel, any thoughts on that yet?

I think most are going to share a mini-bus taxi from the Airport Shuttle option I posted up in the OP. A taxi for one would be quite expensive and even shared 4 ways would be on the order of £30 a head each way.

The shuttle is, IIRC, about £12 a head.

It"s certainly my intention. I posted up the arrival times I"m aware of so people can co-ordinate a shared ride if they want.
