APAT UK Team Championships Player Briefing

PLAYER BRIEFING

Final event details for players entered in the APAT UK Team Championship at the G Casino, Luton are as follows:

DATE

October 22nd-23rd 2011 APAT UK Team Championship 2.30pm each day
October 23rd Pot Limit Omaha Side Event 3pm

Car parking is available at the Casino and free.

DRESS CODE

The dress code is strictly enforced. No sports clothes/footwear of any kind, no dirty or workmans clothes, no torn or ripped jeans, no shorts/hats/hooded tops.

G CASINO REGISTRATION

Will be available at the venue from midday on Saturday for UK Team Event players. Casino is open 24hrs a day

Players will have to register with the G Casino prior to being able to play in this event.  We actively encourage every APAT member to turn up as early as possible to complete your registration at the G reception.

Players can leave the venue after registration but we encourage you to be back in your allocated seats by 2.15pm (for a 2.30pm start).  However, it is not obligatory to be in your seat at the start of the event.

Please note that any friends or family members that wish to accompany you into the Casino will also have to complete a Casino Member Application Form.

Registration is only available to individuals aged 18 years of age and older, with a valid proof of identification.

IDENTIFICATION

Please bring a valid Passport or Drivers License.  If you do not have one of those, then a credit card AND recent utility bill will suffice.  Your guests will also need to bring a similar proof of identity.

If you cannot present valid identification to the Casino, you will not be allowed to enter the premises.

ENTRY FEE


The buy in for the team event is £50 and a registration fee will not be charged.  The event will consist of up to twenty-five teams. Team captains are responsible for collecting the team entry monies and handing them over to the casino cash desk prior to the start of the event. The Cash desk will have a list of Captain"s names.

SCHEDULE


Team Championship

This event will run over two days.  Play commences at 2.30pm on the Saturday.

Play is expected to finish at around 1.00am on day one.  Players left in will return for a 2.30pm start on Sunday, with the final expected to finish around 10.00pm that evening.

Due to the nature of tournament Poker, end of day timings are estimated. The team event will play to the APAT National Championship structure with 10,000 starting chips and a 45 minute clock.

FIELD


The Team Championship field will consist of up to 200 players. Points will be awarded to the top 50 finishers, to calculate a team event winner. 1 point for 50th up to 50 points for the winner.

PRIZES

The Prize Pool for the UK Team Championship will be split into two.

50% of the prize pool will be awarded in the team event to the top three teams

1st 50%
2nd 30%
3rd 20%

50% of the Prize Pool will be awarded to individual finishers as follows: (this is an indicative payout at this stage)

2nd £650
3rd £400
4th £250
5th £250
6th £250
7th £250
8th £250
9th £250
10th £250
11th £100
12th £100
13th £100
14th £100
15th £100
16th £100
17th £100
18th £100
19th £100
20th £100


In addition to the Prize monies a UKIPT Seat will be won by the Individual victor and National Medals going towards individual prizes. The title and Championship Cup will be going towards the Team Championship.

Please note that all entrance fees will be paid out in prize money.  APAT will not retain any fee for running this event for our members.

BUFFET

No buffet will be provided on either day, players are free to order from the extensive casino menus at any time

PRESS

There will be video coverage and Intervies from the events to be shown on www.apat.com both during and after the event.  In addition, Journalists from a number of Poker magazines and a photographer will be present on both days.  We hope to feature a number of images from the tournament on our website and in APAT Magazine after the event.

By entering this tournament you accept that your image may be used in APAT TV, press and marketing campaigns.

LIVE UPDATE

Technology allowing, APAT intend to run a live update on the event and we will be posting player pictures and chip counts throughout the weekend.  Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the forum.  Guests will need to register on the forum to see pictures from the event.  Registration is free.

It"s well known and well publicised that Luton do not allow hoodies

I tried two nights ago in the interests of research, had to take it off and leave it in the cloakroom
